About El Café de Chinitas
🎸 A true Málaga legend is back to life. After being closed for 87 years, the iconic El Café de Chinitas reopened its doors in late 2024, located in its original spot in the historic Pasaje Chinitas. Once a legendary meeting point for 19th and 20th-century cultural icons like Federico García Lorca, Pablo Picasso, and Salvador Dalí, the venue has been beautifully restored to honor its rich bohemian heritage while serving as a vibrant modern restaurant. 🍷 The renewed space blends a deep respect for history with excellent local gastronomy. Featuring unique architectural details like a circular bar inspired by a bullring, traditional green tiles, and a life-size statue of Lorca himself, it offers an unforgettable atmosphere. Guests can enjoy high-quality Spanish tapas, expertly cut Iberian ham, and traditional Malaga wines in a space where art, poetry, and culinary excellence seamlessly meet.
