🎭 The Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Málaga (ESAD Málaga) is a public institution offering official higher education in performing arts, integrated within the Higher Artistic Education system of Andalusia. It represents one of the most important training centers for theatrical creation in southern Spain. 📜 Its origins date back to 1947, when it was founded as a section of Málaga’s Conservatory of Music, continuing the legacy of the historic Academy of Declamation established in the late 19th century. Throughout its history, ESAD Málaga has trained artists who would go on to shape Spain’s cultural and theatrical landscape. 🏛️ Over the decades, the institution evolved structurally and academically, achieving full recognition as higher education with the implementation of educational reforms that equated its degrees with university-level qualifications.
