Coriolano

🎭 Teatro Ciudad de Marbella presents Coriolanus on 15 November 2025 at 8:00 pm. The play is set in ancient Rome, at the dawn of the Republic, in a time of social unrest and confrontation between the ruling patricians and the hungry plebeians. ⚔️ In the middle of protests and war against the Volscians, the heroic soldier Caius Marcius rises to fame thanks to his extraordinary courage in battle. His victory at the city of Corioli earns him the name Coriolanus, but also throws him into a dangerous game of power, pride and politics. The play explores how glory can turn into downfall when personal honour clashes with the will of the people. 🏛️ This performance in Marbella offers a contemporary reading of timeless themes: class struggle, leadership, manipulation and the fragility of democracy.
