Giuseppe Verdi’s timeless masterpiece recounts the doomed romance between glittering Parisian courtesan Violetta Valéry and the passionate Alfredo Germont, framed by unforgettable arias “Libiamo ne’ lieti calici” and “Sempre libera.” This touring production ships the original Moldovan sets, 19-century gowns and a 35-voice chorus—so Marbella audiences experience the same lavish staging seen in Chișinău and on Spain’s coastal circuit. Musical direction is entrusted to Nicolae Dohotaru, while Leonor Gago provides artistic oversight and Angela Prisecaru’s costumes bathe the stage in Belle Époque opulence.
