A flamenco happening by María Moreno: a living, improvised set —with Raúl Cantizano (guitar/samplers) and Manuel Masaedo (percussion)
🎭 A flamenco lab in motion. Verso libre isn’t a fixed show but a happening that rewrites flamenco codes in real time: each performance is different, driven by the celebration body, live music and the site itself. It has been staged in unconventional spaces such as markets, museums and cloisters. 🎶 Team & sound setup. Onstage, María Moreno partners with Raúl Cantizano (guitars & samplers) and Manuel Masaedo (percussion), building a landscape of electrified guitar, compás and voice that fuels improvisation. Some tours have included Miguel Lavi (vocals). 🌍 Context & touring. Launched as open research in 2022, Verso libre has appeared at Seville’s Bienal (CAAC), Madrid en Danza, Dansa Metropolitana and more—an intimate take on contemporary flamenco with close audience contact. 🏅 About the artist. Cádiz-born María Moreno (1986) is a leading flamenco dancer; Lorca Award 2024 for Verso libre and earlier Giraldillo distinctions at the Bienal. Her language blends tradition with stage experimentation. 📍 In Marbella (TodoDanza). Outdoor, free version at Cortijo Miraflores Gardens with two passes (municipal programming).
