About Juan José Calvente Amphitheatre
🌴 Nestled between Avenida Luis Braille and Av. Norberto Goizueta Díaz, the Juan José Calvente Amphitheatre is the cultural hub of San Pedro Alcántara Boulevard. Seating 500-800 guests, its landscaped tiers host summer galas such as Olé al Verano, battle-of-the-bands finals, circus, urban dance and carnival shows 🥁🎶. In 2025 it was renamed to honour carnival pioneer Juan José Calvente during a moving ceremony . Part of a 55,000 m² leisure park featuring a sky-walk, playgrounds and cycle lane, the venue anchors family entertainment on the Costa del Sol. Free entry, curated by San Pedro’s local council, includes festivals like Mes de las Artes Escénicas every August
