Marbella´s Market Plaza

Tucked between Avenida del Mercado and Calle Francisco de Quevedo, the Mercado Municipal de Marbella has supplied the city with fresh ingredients since the 1950s. Today around 40 colourful puestos overflow with glistening tuna steaks, Serrano hams, earthy olives, sun-ripened fruit and artisanal cheeses, while vendors greet regulars by name—a true snapshot of daily Andalusian life. The market opens from 08:00 to 15:00, Monday to Saturday, with a convenient underground car park beneath the building for those arriving by car. Recent municipal initiatives have turned many Friday afternoons into mini gastronomic fiestas, pairing bargain tapas and cañas with live flamenco and pop sets that keep the hall buzzing until early evening.
