About
Opened in April 2024, Marbella Urban Park turned a former municipal lot into Andalusia’s largest free-entry skatepark: 6,600 m² designed by Huete Arquitectos with input from BMX world-champion Rubén Alcántara. The facility is laid out in three riding zones—flow bowl, street plaza and beginner/kids section—plus a chill-out area with seating and shade, so novices and pros can ride safely side by side. Local artist Play in Colors coated the concrete with vibrant, anti-slip murals, fusing open-air art with action-sports function. Standard opening hours run 09:00-22:00 (23:00 Fri-Sat; 00:00 in summer) under full floodlights, and entry is always free. Its debut event on 18 April 2024 featured open, U-18 and U-14 skate contests, pro rider demos and live DJs, instantly making the park a hub for urban culture on the Costa del Sol.
