Ojén in the Dark III: Night Photography for Beginners
Event Description
Night photography event in Ojén with workshop, talk, stargazing and a public lights switch-off to capture the starry sky.
About the Event
📸 Ojén in the Dark III takes place on Friday, May 15, 2026, as a unique experience for anyone who wants to get started in night photography and learn how to capture stars, dark skies and night landscapes in one of the most charming villages in Málaga province. The event features the participation of Forum Fotográfico de Marbella and combines presentation, training and a practical night shoot in Ojén. 🌌 The programme begins at 7:00 PM with a presentation by Forum Fotográfico de Marbella and an introduction to the different photography disciplines at the Town Hall assembly hall. After a short break at 8:00 PM, Antonio Márquez will give a talk at 8:20 PM on beginner night photography and the use of trackers. The talks end at 9:30 PM. 🌠 At 12:00 AM, the first practical shooting session starts from Mirador del Chifle, coinciding with the public lights switch-off from 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM. This creates an exceptional opportunity to explore the village and its surroundings freely while capturing striking images of the night sky. Recommended gear includes a tripod, a camera with manual controls, a remote shutter release or intervalometer, and a headlamp. Attendance is limited to 100 participants. 🌟 A great plan for anyone looking for things to do in Ojén, a different night activity in Málaga, or a stargazing and astrophotography experience.
