About
🛠️ Housed in an 1800s flour-turned-oil mill, the museum keeps its water-powered stones, presses and gears running so visitors can watch olive oil extracted the old-fashioned way. 🥃 Exhibits dive into Aguardiente de Ojén, first distilled by Pedro Morales in 1830, a spirit that won royal warrants and appeared in Picasso’s art and New Orleans cocktails. 🎨 Beyond the presses, rotating photo and art shows animate the white-washed halls, making the venue a year-round cultural hub for locals and travellers. 📍 Find it at 60 Charcas Street, a short uphill stroll from Ojén’s main square, with sweeping mountain views en route. 🕒 Opening hours: Tuesday–Saturday 10 am–4 pm; closed Sunday & Monday. Free admission.
