About Parish of the Incarnation
🕍 Built between 1505 and 1520 on the site of the former mosque, the parish shows a whitewashed façade with carved-stone portal and a square bell-tower whose clock was made by the craftsmen behind Madrid’s Puerta del Sol timepiece. 🎨 Inside, a single nave boasts a Mudejar pine-wood ceiling and a baroque altarpiece sheltering Ojén’s patron Saint Denis and a revered panel of Our Lady of the Incarnation. 🙏 Still the town’s spiritual hub, it offers daily Mass (7 pm in winter, 8 pm in summer), free entry for tourists outside services, organ concerts, religious art shows and the Good Friday procession.
