Founded in 1984 within Marbella’s Taller de Música Global, the Global Music Choir has grown into the city’s collective soundtrack. While rooted in pop, its playlists weave in soul, gospel, country and folk, featuring crowd-pleasing renditions of The Byrds, Leonard Cohen, Mocedades and The Mamas & The Papas. Shows trace musical history from the 1960s to today, backed by an acoustic band of guitars, bass and drums for “songs to remember”. Performances are free or low-cost and always keep wheelchair-accessible seating sold exclusively at the venue box office. Local media praise the choir’s on-stage spark, while municipal listings feature summer nights like “¡Qué bonito es cantar!” in Parque de la Constitución.
