Fito Paez
About
Fito Páez: Argentina’s rock poet—love after love on every stage. Born in Rosario in 1963, Fito Páez is a cornerstone of Argentine rock and the Trova Rosarina movement. Since his 1984 debut Del 63 he has released 30-plus albums packed with staples like “11 y 6,” “Circo Beat,” and “Mariposa Tecknicolor.” His landmark record El amor despuĂ©s del amor (1992) remains Argentina’s best-selling rock album. In 2023 he re-imagined it on EADDA9223 and launched a 30th-anniversary world tour. With 11 Latin Grammy wins, one Grammy Award and a 2021 Lifetime Achievement honor, Páez is among Latin music’s most decorated artists. Netflix’s 2023 biopic series Love After Music introduced his story to a new global audience. A frequent collaborator of legends Charly GarcĂa and Luis Alberto Spinetta, he blends rock, pop and orchestral arrangements, selling out venues such as Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall. With soulful piano, raw poetry and boundless energy, Páez continues to define Spanish-language rock for successive generations.
