About Gilberto Santa Rosa
Gilberto Santa Rosa (San Juan, 1962), known as “The Gentleman of Salsa,” has fused polished big-band arrangements with tropical swing since debuting in 1976. After cutting his teeth in Willie Rosario’s orchestra, he stormed the charts with romantic salsa staples like “Conciencia,” “Perdóname,” “Que Alguien Me Diga,” and “Vivir Sin Ella,” taking the genre worldwide. With more than 30 albums—including 2023’s Debut y Segunda Tanda (Deluxe)—and fresh 2024 singles “Tun Tun” and “La Marea,” he remains a vital creative force. Celebrated for mentoring younger artists and headlining sold-out tours, Santa Rosa continues to deliver sophisticated, feel-good shows where salsa and bolero meet impeccable showmanship.
