Grupo Asere

Hailing from Seville, Álvaro Carrasco, Julio Roiz, Miguel de Paz and Carlos Boniquito created Grupo Asere to modernise flamenco by blending it with rumba grooves, pop hooks and urban rhythms. The band’s name nods to the Cuban greeting “¿Asere, qué bolá?” and its Andalusian twin “¿Qué pasa, hermano?”, symbolising their cross-cultural DNA. Their shows, from Córdoba’s Hangar Hall to major Andalusian festivals, feel like block parties where audiences dance non-stop. In August 2024 a flamenco cover of “La Rizos” went viral on TikTok, surpassing 4 million views and propelling the quartet onto international radars. A string of singles followed, culminating in “Delante del Espejo” (released 13 June 2025, ONErpm), available on every major streaming platform.
