🎤 A flamenco‑fusion singer-songwriter, born in Montpellier and raised musically in Madrid. Creator of the hit “Ya no quiero tu querer” with Niña Pastori. 💃 Touring Spain and the Costa del Sol.
🎶 José el Francés (José Rodríguez Vázquez) was born in Montpellier in 1971 to a Gypsy family steeped in flamenco. At 14 he moved to San Blas, Madrid, where he began composing and shaping his career. 🔥 His main inspiration was Camarón de la Isla; he wrote the tanguillos “Una rosa pa tu pelo,” featured on Camarón’s last album. That encounter defined his flamenco-pop style—raw, emotional and streetwise. 💿 He rose to fame with “Ya no quiero tu querer” alongside Niña Pastori and Vicente Amigo, becoming a key name in late‑90s/2000s flamenco fusion. 🎵 His catalog remains active on streaming platforms—albums like Alma (2000), Jugando al Amor (2002), Hoy Soy Feliz (2017) and recent singles keep fans hooked. 🌴 Today he continues touring Spain—including the Costa del Sol—and partnering with venues and festivals, bringing his duende to live stages.
