🎸 Medina Azahara: Córdoba’s Andalusian-rock icons 🌅. 45 years of flamenco-tinged anthems on their farewell tour “Todo tiene su fin”.
About
Formed in Córdoba in 1979, Medina Azahara blended symphonic rock and heavy-metal with flamenco overtones, becoming the flagship of the Andalusian-rock movement. Across 22 studio albums—from Walking Through the Mosque (1979) to The Eternal Dream (2023)—and more than 4 000 shows, they have earned multiple Gold records and influenced generations of Spanish-speaking rock fans. In 2025 the regional government awarded them the Medal of Andalusia for five decades of cultural impact. The core line-up—vocalist Manuel Martínez, guitarist Paco Ventura and keyboard wizard Manuel Ibáñez—is currently on its farewell tour “Todo tiene su fin” (2025-26), with sold-out stops in major Spanish venues. Expect soaring vocals, neo-classical guitar solos and flamenco hand-claps on classics like “I Need to Breathe” and “Paseando por la Mezquita”—a last chance to witness the energy that defined Spanish hard-rock.
