Melendi is one of the most popular Spanish artists of the last two decades. Born in Oviedo, he began his musical career in the early 2000s and reached a national audience with Sin noticias de Holanda, the album that launched a career built around relatable songs, storytelling and a particularly strong connection with audiences. His sound has evolved from the rumba and pop influences of his early recordings towards a broader combination of pop rock and singer-songwriter music, while retaining his distinctive approach to storytelling. Songs about relationships, mistakes, emotions and everyday situations have turned much of his catalogue into generational favourites.
