Miguel Campello
Miguel Campello (Elche, 1979) rose as Elbicho’s front-man and now, as the self-styled “Chatarrero”, melts rumbas, bulerĂas and rock into electrifying performances. 🎤🎸🔥
About
Born in Elche (Alicante) in 1979, Campello moved to Madrid in the early 2000s and, in 2001, founded Elbicho, a groundbreaking flamenco-fusion outfit blending rumba, rock and North-African grooves. After a decade, he debuted solo with Chatarrero (2011), the first in a six-album series that showcases his scrap-yard aesthetics and poetic songwriting. His 2023 double record Noche y DĂa offers 20 tracks that travel from night-time introspection to daylight celebration, mixing reggae, pop and flamenco roots. On stage, Campello’s high-octane shows fuse improvisation, brass riffs and compás flamenco, turning every venue into a melting pot of cultures. The latest chapter, Con Todos Mis Respetos 2 (2025), proves his knack for constant reinvention while keeping a raw, heartfelt lyricism.
