🎭 Los Yugoslavos is a theatrical work written and directed by Juan Mayorga, one of the most prestigious contemporary playwrights in Spain. The play will be performed in Málaga at the Teatro del Soho CaixaBank on January 23 and 24, 2026. 🗣️ The story begins when a waiter asks a customer for help—someone he has seen lift another person’s spirit using only words. The request is simple yet profound: speak to his wife, who has fallen into sadness and silence, and find the words he himself cannot. 🗺️ Meanwhile, she walks through the city carrying a map, searching for a place called Los Yugoslavos, perhaps a bar, perhaps a meeting point for people who share the experience of having been born in a country that no longer exists. Along the way, she encounters a young woman who proposes an exchange of maps—an exchange that reshapes their paths. ✨ Los Yugoslavos is a poetic reflection on language and its power: how words can heal, separate, save, or destroy.
