About
🎭 The Edgar Neville Auditorium is part of the Provincial Palace of the Diputación de Málaga, designed by architect Luis Machuca and located right by the seafront promenade in the Huelin district. It opened in 2008 as the Provincial Auditorium and in 2012 was renamed in honour of Spanish filmmaker and writer Edgar Neville, becoming one of the city’s most important cultural venues. 🎶 This is a multi-purpose auditorium with a large stage, professional lighting and sound and full technical equipment, ideal for symphonic concerts, theatre, dance, film screenings, conferences and institutional ceremonies. It hosts regular series such as “La Filarmónica frente al mar” with the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra, charity events, flamenco festivals and professional conferences. 📣 With an approximate capacity of 600 seats, the Edgar Neville Auditorium is a medium-size venue offering excellent sightlines from every seat thanks to its raked seating. Its location – just minutes from the city centre and well served by bus, metro and suburban trains – makes it a reference point for large public events in Malaga. 🌊 Surrounded by landscaped areas and a wide wooden plaza, the auditorium benefits from the relaxed atmosphere of Malaga’s western seafront and also allows for outdoor activities linked to its cultural programme.
