About
🎼 In the heart of Marbella’s old town, Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación Church hosts another concert in the 3rd Bach-Marbella International Organ Festival 2025/26. This time the guest is Italian organist Luigi Ratti (Carrara, Italy), an international concert performer and music teacher, who will play works by J. S. Bach, J. Van Oortmerssen and others. ⛪ The recital takes place on Sunday 23 November at 5:00 pm, an ideal time for families to enjoy the magnificent Sol Mayor Organ, the church’s landmark instrument and one of the most important church organs built in Spain in the 20th century. Expect baroque and contemporary pieces filling the nave with rich, immersive sound. 👨👩👧👦 Family-friendly idea: organ concerts are a great way to introduce children to classical music – they can see how huge the instrument is, feel the vibrations and hear famous Bach themes they might recognise from films and cartoons. Sit in the central pews, tell them about the different pipes and invite them to close their eyes and “draw” what they hear in their minds. 💡 Admission is generally free with a voluntary donation to help maintain the organ and support the festival, so every contribution helps preserve this unique part of Marbella’s musical heritage. If you’re looking for a calm, cultural Sunday plan, this recital is a beautiful option.
