🙏 The Calvario Brotherhood is a Marbella-based confraternity with deep devotional roots, centered on the veneration of the Holy Christ of the Exaltation, Our Lady of Calvario, and Saint John the Evangelist. ⛪ Since its origins, the brotherhood has been dedicated to living and sharing the faith through its Sacred Images and community life. They hold their procession on Holy Thursday, starting at 6:00 PM from Plaza de la Ermita del Calvario, walking through Marbella’s Old Town. 🤝 Beyond worship, they carry out year-round organizational and educational work, with special attention to youth and families. The Brotherhood organizes various activities such as excursions, gatherings, charity campaigns, and assistance programs through their charity fund, showing their commitment to the real needs of the local community. 🎭 They are also deeply committed to enriching Marbella’s cultural life by promoting events such as open-air cinema, comedy shows, concerts, exhibitions, and other community gatherings that encourage public participation and strengthen local social ties. 📲 Active on social media, they regularly share news about worship, events, and calls to participation. 🕊️ The image of the Virgin was sculpted by Ricardo Dávila Santos (1981), a sorrowful Virgin known for her expressiveness and light eyes.
