Nuestra Señora de la Amargura Procession 2026 in Marbella

The Procession of Our Lady of Bitterness 2026 in Marbella kicks off Marbella's Holy Week on Saturday, March 28, with one of the most anticipated events at the start of the brotherhood calendar. The Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus of Humility, Our Lady of Bitterness, and Saint Anthony of Padua will depart at 18:00 from the Parish of Our Lady of the Incarnation, with a route through the historic center and several of the city's most recognizable spots. The procession is led by Our Lady of Bitterness, on a throne that this year unveils the second phase, crafted in the workshops of Paula Orfebres. The procession will feature 110 carriers, 120 Nazarenes, 40 mantillas, and musical accompaniment by the Cornets and Drums Band Lágrimas de Campillos at the cross guide and the Municipal Music Band Maestro Enrique Galán from Rota behind the throne. Among the most notable moments are the passage through Calle San Francisco, in the Leganitos neighborhood, and the enclosure in Plaza de la Iglesia. It is one of the key processions for those looking for things to see in Marbella during Holy Week and a highlighted event to follow the start of the brotherhood agenda in the historic center.
